The "mate" from Tex-Lock is a lightweight, multi-layer lock-rope with a hardened metal core. The flexible rope made of high-tech fibers ends on one side with a plastic-coated metal eyelet and on the other with a hardened universal bolt that fits into most frame locks*. The rope with the bolt is pulled around a solid object, through the frame as well as through the eyelet and then the bolt is plugged into the frame lock opening and the frame lock will be closed.
As with the Tex-Lock "eyelet", each layer fulfils an individual function and thus protects your bike from theft by attacks with bolt cutter, fire and saw. Through the different layers, it is achieved that various
Tools must be used to crack the lock. This significantly contributes to increasing the duration of the break-up, which will ultimately make any thief give up. The soft surface also protects the frame
from scratches. During the ride, you can transport the frame lock extension in the enclosed bag, which can be attached to the luggage rack or seatpost. The tex-lock "mate" is available in black and grey-black.
Tex-Lock "mate" provides more flexibility with a weight of only 1040 g and thanks to the length of 1.20 m you will be able to securely connect your bike anywhere to protect it from theft.
