After the Tex-Lock Eyelet combination with a small U-lock set, the manufacturer has now upgraded and paired the Eyelet textile rope with the new D-Lock.
The D-Lock with triangular bracket made of hardened steel and locking on both sides achieves the highest British bicycle safety standard "Sold Secure Diamond" and has also been awarded the Dutch ART3 certification, which offers good protection for "bicycles with a high risk of theft as well as for scooters and mopeds". In these two high security classes, the D-Lock is considered the lightest U-Lock currently available with its low weight of 970 g.
Thus, the U-lock successfully fends off even heavy attacks with special tools such as an angle grinder ("Flex"). In this respect, it makes sense to secure the frame of your bike with the D-Lock by connecting it to a fixed object such as a metal bracket. The eyelet rope with metal core is the ingenious extension for the mini U-lock. The special rope with the eyelet principle ensures a safe and flexible connection at any location and is used to secure additional, protectable bike parts such as the wheels or your saddle. Depending on the wheelbase, you can also secure the front and rear wheel from Eyelet size M in most cases. It combines various high-tech fibers with hardened special steel inside. Each fibre layer has its own function and thus defends itself against attacks with bolt cutters and fire or protects the surface of your bike frame with the outer layer. The internal metal core also offers saw protection.
The D-Lock U-Lock can be easily and safely transported on the bike with the optionally available lock mount from tex-lock. For the eyelet in size M, there is a separate practical transport bag
